Engine Question

Does anybody know if a chevy 454 engine will fit in a 1995 chevy camaro and if the transmission will bolt up to that engine. Without any major modifications.

It will not fit without some major modification.

With that said, I'm sure someone on this site who has a 14" e-****, can install headers on a 4th gen camaro/firebird in 10 minutes (retaining AIR/EGR) and who only dates supermodels will chime in here in a few minutes telling you that it's a pretty simple and straightforward swap.

Re: Engine Question

The engine from a 98 will bolt in no problem (and bolt up to the trans), but the 99 will not bolt in and will require some fabrication, or you can just swap subframes from a camaro/firebird that came with an LS1.

Are you planning on using a carb or do you want fuel injection?
