Engine pics

There are a few little things to finish, but for the most part, it's ready....

Golen 383 LT1
LE3 heads
LE4 cam
LE ported intake
...and all of the other parts.

More progress pics here.

Hopefully next week I'll have some pictures of it installed.

Are those MSD wires? The link says Taylor, but they look like MSD to me. If they are MSD, where did you get your looms?

Yes, the wires pictured are the MSD 8.5mm. I was using the Taylor wires for the past few years, but I decided to try the MSD wires this time. The looms are Made For You brand. I bought the MFY OVC set from Thunder, and I also bought another set w/o the cover mounts (just looms) from a local speed shop.
Edit - To clarify, the looms are designed for 7-8mm wires, but it's simple to run a drill bit through the holes and enlarge to the perfect size.

Whitey your car never ceases to amaze me. Looks great! I just want to know where did you pick up the fuel rail allen studs at?! I'm in need of a set since my rails have bungs welded and the 5pt stud cuts into my welds.

Did you polish all that stuff yourself? Meticulous!

I think I'm going to need to know how to do MSD OTVC wires at some point. Did you just buy bulk wire, cut them to the correct length and put on the ends? MSD doesn't make an OTVC kit, do they?

Your engine looks nice. What kind of headers did you install?

Thanks! I got the bolts from two sources. Alloyboltz.com and a local store called The Fastener Place. I polished everything pictured, even each freaking bolt/washer/nut/etc... The bolts had all casting marks removed w/ a belt sander using 600 grit belts, followed by several steps with the buffing motor. Alloyboltz will provide a "show polish" that is better than the regular machine tumbled polish that they offer, but you will pay out the ****. I just bought the rough, as cast hardware from both sources...all 300+/- pieces.

MSD-32139...you cut to length desired and install plug end. Very simple assembly compared to the Taylor wires. JetHot headers, recoated.

I'm ready to see some numbers! Did you consider their 396 when ordering? What about different heads for porting such as Trick Flow? I'm looking to also go with Golen when the time comes. I already started buying some of the additional parts. I have a Mezierre HD EWP, MSD plugs, MSD coil, headders, etc. Still going to buy MSD opti, ATI 10% under dirve Superdamper, bigger injectors, ASP Monoblade or 58mm and Edelbrock intake. What size injectors are you useing? I may go with Lucas 42lbs since I would like to run N2O also. Maybe for the rest of the fuel system also. What fuel pump are you using? How are the manners of that cam on a 383 or 396?

Thanks

Thanks!

The engine is hopefully going in this week, so it should be running very soon.

42# Delphi injectors, Racetronix pump and should act similar to 306 in a stock bottom end...so I'm told.
