Engine knock

Real bad at idle then goes away when given throttle. Have good oil pressure same power just a knocking sound at idle any ideas ?

Idea:
At least one rod bearing gone.

The more you run it, the more damage there will be.

What you first need to do is find out what the noise is (and assess any damage) and then work on a course of action.

You can pull the pan to see if you have any bearing damage (if that is where you isolate the noise to). If so, then the engine is going to have to come out.

most nosie is fRom under the car near pan and dust shield. possibly a bad converter?

Pull the oil filter off and cut it open. Cut just below the top threaded part all the way around the can and take the top off, like your opening a can off soup. You can then pull the filter element out of the filter and look between the pleats for metal. If its a bearing there will be plenty of shiny gold looking bearing material in there. If it's clean then you may have less of a problem.

thanks for the advice will be doing it tomorrow off of work so i ll be finding the problem. Any way the converter or flex plate cracked? My mods are very close to yours also except have the cc306 1.65 rr on the exhaust

Turned out to be a bent pushrod was using the stamp steel rockers until my rollers came in thankfully no other damage besides the push rod
