Re: engine build

Considering that your car is 11 years old and a Walbro 255 is, what...? A hundred bucks or so...? Get yourself the wiring upgrade too.

Do yourself a favor and put in a new fuel pump. If you have a few more bucks a set of new injectors wouldn't hurt either.

Stuff wears out, you know?

Can you get away without it if money is tight?

I suppose.

But it's good policy to replace this stuff.

Sounds an awful lot like a cc305 on an otherwise stock LT1. If thats the case, then the answer's gonna be no, you wont get 350 rear wheel with that setup (not with bone stock heads anyhow). And you sure wont need more fuel pump unless yours is dead/dying now. Thats about the mildest cam anyone runs on these motors. I had one way back when, and it about put me to sleep LAME is right though, you should prolly consider replacing the thing just from a maintenance standpoint...

Good luck

Re: engine build

Welcome to CamaroZ28com. As you may have noticed, we have specific forums for specific topics. Questions about an LT1 buildup should be posted in "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech", or if not directly engine related, in "General F-Body Tech....."

Re: engine build

It is very possible to get 350rwhp with a cc305. Iff you have that 11:1 compression. Maybe even a little higher would be more beneficial. You might want to try all the major bolt-ons too. i had a cc305 setup that put down 350rwhp.
