Energy Suspention motor mounts

Having a FUN time with these poly mounts.
The 5 inch bolt that runs through the passenger side mount would not go through. Too small of a hole. Had to pull the mount out. Even with the mount out of the car the hole in the mount is to small for the 5 inch stock bolt to fit through. damaged a little of the poly in the bolt hole during the battle.

I guess i may need to drill out some of the poly in the hole, or hammer the bolt through a couple of times before re-installing. I had no trouble with the drver side. Lets just say a few 4 letter words were yelled out in the attempt. This is why I love cars! Anyone have this experience?

I have these same mounts but no problems. I just pulled my motor and I was able to pull the bolts out by hand, after I took pressure off the mounts by raising the engine hoiost.
Strange yours are giving you some grief. Does the hole appear to be egg shaped or otherwise deformed?

I used the Energy Suspension mounts. I had to run a drill through them to make the bolt fit.

If at all possible, return them for the Prothanes. Mine fit perfectly
with no issues concerning fitment, bolts, bolt holes, etc. I bought the
"3-pack" - engine and tranny mount.

Well I got them installed last night. I had to run a drill but through the passenger side mount a couple of times. It helps to put a little dish soap on the mount so it can slide in the clamshell when you try to line up the
5" connector bolt.

I found it useful to leave all the mounting bolts loose untill you get the large connector bolt through. Also start with the passenger side, once thats in leave all the bolts loose and install the drivers side mount, you will have to move the jack up or down to find the right engine height.
When done, don't forget to tighten everything up good!

Same problem here when I decided to change the mounts out while I was pulling the pan to replace the gasket. I ended up getting it all installed and done, but had to leave the mounts loose from the block to get the bolts in and then tightend up the mounts and worked like a charm. Glad to hear you finally got it solved. Some times I hate working on these cars, but then I drive her on the weekend and all is forgiven.
