Georgia is just great except for thier new way of giving emissions. They hook up the car computer and read the error codes. not good for me =(.

I was woundering if u guys could recomend some ideas on ways around these errors

P0122 Throttle/pedal position sensor/Switch A circuit Low input << do not know much about this one. i cut off the throttel stopper so i can get wide open throttle could that cause this?

P0410 Sec. Air injection System malfunction << I have the whole K&N intake system could it cause this error

P0420/430 Catalyst system efficiency below Threshold (bank 1 &2) << i know what causes this one. i have full exhaust no cats ect. Looking for a way around this what can i do?

Are you saying that a Camaro will not go WOT without removing some throttle stopper? I have never heard this before. Is this true? I cant imagine GM would build a car that cant go full throttle

 

it restricts wide open throlle a hair. Its a decent and free mod so why not?.... i was not looking for this kind of responce but what can i expect.

when my 3rd gen wouldnt pass, i registered it to my freinds address in white county...no emmissions up there...mabye take out a P.O. box so u can have a valid address...only bad thing, the 2 hour drive to the white county DOT...where in GA do u live?

 

i am considering registering it in Jasper, Ga no emmison req there and its only a hour drive. Thanks for the reply know anything about the error codes?

i registered my car in jasper yesturday. tag was even 40 dollars cheaper than it was in cheroke. my dad lives up in jasper so i used his adress. i am not sure if a po box would work there but, u could find a house they are building and use that adress. when i changed my adress there where no questions asked. good luck.

The AIR injection system is the system that pumps fresh air into the exhaust manifolds to help heat the cats up faster. I don't think it would have to do with your K&N.

 

O2 sims should get rid of the cat code. There should be a risistor that you can plug into the AIR to take care of that (do a search to find the value you need). The mod you did to the TB may have allowed the TPS to go out of range.....pull the pcm fuse or dissconct the battery to reset the pcm and dont go wot before testing....

 

I had the K&N and the GM cold air and never threw code. I also have long tubes, no cats and threw EGR code not AIR. Eliminated the code with LT1edit and can pass emissions now, if I smile and wave $ when they look for the cats. Don't know about the TP dealie.
