Electric Waterpump Durability

I've heard different things about these. Some people have had them last years, some have had them last a couple of hours.

What's the general consensus?

2500 hours = roughly 2.5 to 3 years.

CSI's are rated up to 5500 hrs. I'll be finding out, hopefully later than sooner.
