Hello All,

I just finished wiring my electric water pump, but I have a problem. I started the engine up, and after I shut it down, the pump still runs. I had to pull the 12V connection from the 30 on the relay to shut it off. I wired it according to Ken's scheme below (minus the switch)

Sounds like you don't have it hooked to the correct power pin in the power distro block for your positive relay trigger source. That would be the 86 pin on the diagram. I would check that connection with eithor a test lamp or a multimeter and ensure that it is indeed a ignition switched source. You could even just T tap the PCM switched power or the ignition coil or something like that. The relay trigger doesn't really require much power at all really, it's the feeder wire that carries the heavy current. If you do have correct wire tapped then I would swap out the relay, maybe it's sticking. It's gotta be one of the two
