Electric water pump and underdrive pully?

Have a question concerning a couple parts. I know it's not a good idea to run an underdrive pully with the mechanical water pump due to cooling issues. But if I went with an electric waterpump, wouldn't that eliminate any ill effects of the underdrive pully on the cooling system?

Stock pump is run off the camshaft, not the serpentine belt.
