Go with electric water pump...Mezeire or CSI. Can do a search and get all you would ever want to know about the whole install and possible gains.

Re: Electric water pump-help

absolutely go with electric. i am not even going to explain why, just do it. and if they prematurely break (which they 'supposedly' are known to do) you change it in literally 30 mins in a parking lot. if it sounds like i am speaking from personal experience, its because i am!

and in case you were wondering, yes you will definitely pick up some power gains in the 3k-6k rpm range.

your options:
CSR: requires stock housing modification <---currently using this one
Mezz.: requires stock fan shrouding modification

I am 100% satisfied with my CSR unit. The install wasn't too bad at all and only took a little bit of modifying to the WP housing. Nothing a dremel can't fixt.

Re: Electric water pump-help

I have the Summit brand pump and it works awsome! All my friends got either the CSR or Mezire and my summit has out lasted them both. Ive had it in for 2 years and put over 20,000 miles on it and my car never gets over the first white line on the gauge and thats even sitting in traffic. I was alittle leery of the summit pump but after living longer than a CSR and a Mezire Im impressed. Ive installed 3 of them since buying mine and all of them are still alive and kicking on daily driven cars. Just thought Id add my $.02
