An electric waterpump utilizes your stock water pump housing. It is installed in the face of the water pump housing, so leaking is pretty much impossible.

CSI water pumps run about $130.

Yes, CSI pumps cost less than Mezieres, but require minor trimming of the water pump housing.

Absolutely, you just have to grind a bit on the stock wp housing for the CSIs ears. Any easy, 5 minute job.
I'd say, go for it!

Yeah man, CSI all the way. It's cutting job is easy as long as you have a dremel the other bonus is you don't have to cut your fan shroud. It's quieter, looks better and lasts longer then the Meziere.

Another CSI fan here.

As for the pump housing, if you have a drill, don't run out an buy a Dremel for this job. There are sanding cylinders just like the ones for the Dremel, but made for drills. You can get them at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. They're bigger and will remove much more material - and quicker.

Not that Dremel's are useless, I use the **** out of mine

Here is an install guide to give you more of an idea.

My MEZ went out on me after 4 weeks. The snap together electrical connectors came apart. I dunno why they were not soldered the first time? I sold it and went with a CSI. No problems so far.

I think it's the same as the MEZ's (2000 hours), but it is definiately a better built product.
