wtf r they talkin about drive belt and fan? You sure this isnt for an old school small block chevy? Lt1 water pumps r driven by the timing gears and the fans are obviously electric, so wtf r they talking about? Check into that b4 purchasing, if that really is for new gen. LT1 let me know, because that is cheap.

Re: Is this Electric water pump any good??

I have the CVR electric water pump. I got mine from summit racing though. Its the "Summit" brand LT1 pump. They say that it has ceramic seals in it and has a much longer life expectancy then the Mezire or CSI pumps. I drive my car everyday and I have been for the past 8 months and its not left me down yet, and the temp never gets above 180 idleing in traffic with even my CC036 cam. Id recommend getting it from Summit just cause there discription is alot better of the product. I hope this helps.

Re: Is this Electric water pump any good??

Like I said, it is listed as the "summit" brand pump. All of Summits "Summit Brand" parts are other companys parts with Summits name on them. My pump came in a Summit box with the CVR front cover on the pump itself.

Re: Is this Electric water pump any good??

Sounds like a generic description used for all their electric H2o pumps. The pic they show sure looks exactly like a new LT1 pump......

Re: Is this Electric water pump any good??

I just got off the phone with a JEGS rep. He said it is a LT1 WP and the reason they are so cheap is because they are dis-continuing this vendor(found a cheaper vendor he says). I asked how many he had left he said 5...............I mean 4 Also, it has a 1 year warrenty for those wondering.
