electric cutout question

electric cutout question

so my z28 is basically still all stock besides the flowmaster 80 series that was put on but no headers no nothing. i was thinking about putting an electric cutout on how do you think it will sound and feel

It will sound loud as hell. Think of it as a hole in your exhaust that you can open and close. Feel? I doubt you'll feel anything, maybe you'll get the illusion of feeling something cuz its so damn loud. Invest in headers, you'll hear and feel those!

If you don't have smog restraints, then go with long tube headers. I've got shorties since I live in Cali.

Headers will help alot along with intake. Once the engine can flow air in and out better, then you can go with engine mods.

Depends on your purpose and how deep your pockets are.

you do feel the extra kick if your running the cutout before the cat or if your running with no cat

this was about 2 months ago before the RR's

Edit: sorry the graph is hard to read, numbers say 285hp/327tq cutout close 303hp/343tq cutout open
