I have it installed on my 94Z.
I put it in with a BMR adjustable TA and KYB AGX adjustable shocks and I am still trying to figure out the best combination.
It did not alter handling too much but I have 15x10s and skinnies up front with no sway bar so I don,t take turns too fast anyway.
If your going drag race only then yeah go ahead and get the kit, once you get into some mods and going pretty fast you will like the launch you get from it.
I decided to put it in when I made the decision to make the car a straight line performer.

I know you guys talk about lowering springs helping the appearance, but what about the drag launches? I think it makes the car look more aggressive along with serving a purpose at the strip...

A lower center of gravity and better down force all ways help you at the end of the track.

I'm disappointed with the way it made my car look.

How the hell does a lower center of gravity help with weight transfer?
Better downforce? How does a lowering spring help with that?
Its totally different when you are trying to get the car to hook rather than stick in a corner.
The things we do to make the front end lift will have very adverse affects on how the car handles in the curves.

Will the drag launches help with LT clearance at all?

It will somewhat. Front height stays about the same while the azz end sicks up.

It definately helped my exhaust clear.
I would not have been able to drive the car very much if I had not put the drag launch kit in.
Its the big raise in the rear that helped me.

Top Speed is what your aiming for

a good Hookup is what you want to get there.

I dropped my car and set up a custom air damn on it. In the 100's the car is literally gliding.

You don't want your nose to be sticking in the air when your halfway down the track.

The Drag kit lifts the rear of the car up about 2 inches or so and tilts the nose end down. Better hook up but more DF.

Have you ever seen a lowered car run at the strip?
They have a real hard time hooking up.
I have seen guys with lots of power and road racing suspensions run decent times at the strip, if they had the car setup for straight line acceleration their times would be outstanding.

Do you know what downforce is?
We are not talking about front wheel drive here.
If the rear tires are getting power then you want downforce pressing those tires into the ground, which means the front end will be wheels up. Aerodynamics plays a huge part but the most critical part of the quarter mile is the start.

funny....I just spent 3.2K building my suspension...the cars lowerd with a drag setup...kicks harder than it ever did and handles 3 times as better at highspeeds. Then too I have mixed and matched parts...but aside from the suspension setup lowering the car helped at the end of the line. I wasn't necessarliy talking about launching.....getting there and being there are two different things. Has nothing to do with FWD or RWD it's about channeling air flow better. The less of a restriction your car has on the air the better you'll come out. I don't think having a lowered car makes a difference or not at the startup though. Almost all Pro NHRA cars are lower than dirt....But there's allot of Setups people use for getting off the line...what ever works.
