I havn't gotten my pcm re-tuned to remove EGR so I have been driving w/ the EGR code and SES light on after header install. Went to the track and the car didnt trap near as high as its suppose to be (99mph, should be around 105). I dont know why this would effect anything but wanted to confirm it wouldn't.

 

As far as I know, it does nothing performance wise. Sounds like you have something else wrong.

There is something wrong with your car, in the other few threads you have people were taking guesses. When we spoke you said the car had a complete tune up along with headgaskets.

I would urge you to get on a dyno and look at the hp and tq curves. It may uncover your problems. There is a reason your car is trapping so low.

Do you have a lt4 KM?
Do you have a pcm tune?

 

pcmforless tune, w/ desensitized km. I'm going to wait until I have a chance to go back to the track and see how much better I can do. First time was pretty wacked and a lot of things were going on, could be a fluke...Perhaps I have some overtightened rockers but they are only set at 1/2 past lash. Pretty much everything else is brand new except the opti. 80% of the stuff in my sig was put on about 3 weeks ago.

EDIT: I've been reading something o madz28's site which says they still recommend the LT4 KM even though they do knock desensitization. Would a LT4 KM really be holding back 5mph? Then again the car is damn loud w/ LT's,ORY and open cutout.
