egr recall?
egr recall?
Does any one have any info on this. I took my 96 camaro to the dealer because my ses light was on and I was getting a p400 code, and I heard that there was a recall for the egr. The dealer said that there was no recall. I cant seem to find any info on this and was hoping that somebody knows a way for me to prove to the dealer that there is infact a recall, any info would be great.

I know a few dealers that are actually like that, but Im a Service Technician at a chevy place and I looked at all campaigns on my 97 and i printed it out thats y i just so happen to have it

I believe emissions equipment is required by law to have a 'warranty' of 10yrs/100kmi. Of course dealers can be dicks about that because it pays pratically nothing for warranty work. (according to alldata) --> However, the only actual RECALL for a 96Z is the air pump. The EGR has no recall notice or TSB. (once again, according to alldata). But hey, if you can convince them to fix your stuff... then more power to ya.
