I removed my EGR a long time ago and I was wondering if I can remove the solenoid (black box on driver side) and cap the vacuum line that runs to the EGR. Is it ok to do so? Do I need to cap the vac. nipple on the EGR itself or just the nipple on the intake?

 

I am pretty sure that you have to leave the EGR plugged up for some reason but I don't see anything wrong with capping the intake ports.
