egr causing missing?/ diaphram not budging

car is idling with a miss, and is knocking/missing up to around 2krpm.

it is worst when driving same speed for a few minutes and then getting to a stop light, expecially when the ac is on putting the extra strain on the engine, then pulling out of the light, there is slight surging until either it is at constant speed or above 2krpm.

i took the egr off and cleaned the ports and passages on both intake and egr. It still does it, searched on how to test it and tried to push diaghpram while motor running and i couldnt get it to budge so either im doing it wrong or its stuck?

Since im extra strapped for cash i need to make sure that this is the problem before i go throwing money at it...

i thought it was the o2's first but i unhooked maf and problem stuck, same with map...

thanks for any information anyone can give!

use more force when you push in the egr valve diaphram. Depends, how old it is, but i woulds say go ahead and replace it.

Instead of trying to manually push the EGR in, use something like a Mityvac to apply vacuum to it and see if it moves.
