Question EGR blockoff plate part #

Is there a GM part # for the EGR blockoff plate? And if so, what is it? Thank you in advance.

Actually, they do make them, since it was part of the LT4 engine. I bought mine from Jason Cromer, the parts sales guy at Sam Taylor Buick Cadillac (GM). There are two pieces for both holes on the back of the intake.

Email him and he can give you the part #s and best prices. Search for his email on here.

is there another part # to block off the other hole in the back or do you just have to make one?

When I did jet Hot Longtubes, I simply used the plate that was already on the tube for the EGR on the stock passenger manifold. I cut the tube off, then welded a small piece of metal into the hole, sanded it smooth and then just bolted it back up to the intake.

Another quick question... can I get the EGR blockoff plate from a dealer? The shipping at gmpartsdirect.com is more than the price of the plate.

Does anyone know? I don't know whether to order it tonight or go to the dealer tomorrow.

Only one plate was used for the LT4. Once the EGR opening is blocked off the other hole is non- operative. You do have to block the hole on the exhaust manifold or header though. And yes the dealers carry them, if they have them in stock.

Get it from Jason as previously suggested.

Yeah but wouldn't it be cheaper and quicker to get it from a dealer since there's no shipping?
