Question EGR+ AIR Pump remove while Headers install Qestn..

I got some LT headers I want to install soon. I was wondering about doing away with EGR and A.I.R. at the same time as header installation as I see alot of people do. Will it make a performance gain to remove AIR and EGR?
Can someone give me a link or two to EGR and AIR removal? Thanks!!

no performance gains, but it will clean up your engine bay and you will lose a good 7 pounds or so. Some people say the temps are lower also with them removed. Here is a link, you may wanna try to search the forums for the word egr or air and you will find a bunch of info.

EGR/AIR

I just removed my AIR/EGR with header install. It made so much room in the engine bay. If you do go with the no emission headers I recomend a pcm tune. You should get a performance gain from that

You might wanna have a tubing cutter... I had a real hard time reaching a bolt I could never see that holds a tubing bracket on behind the Power Steering pump so since I figured I didn't need it anymore I used a tubing cutter to cut the AIR tube into pieces and it ended up sliding out of the bracket. That and the EGR just need standard tools and your EGR openings are going to need to be capped. I found some EGR Block off plates from another board member.... This was the best engine cosmetic thing I have done on the engine.. Very easy to access many parts now...

No. I am talking about the shiny tubing that transfers the air from the pump to the headers.... Their is one that leads to no mans land to get to the passenger side header....
