Smile !EGR & !AIR on OBDII and no SES . ..

Been running that way for about a week now and no ses light. This was just a FYI for those with OBDII wondering if they would get a light or not. Engine bay looks beautiful now Lotsa room.

Keep an eye out for it though, sometimes it would take a few hundred miles for my SES light to come on due to my EGR flow malfunction.

your fans will run constantly. not really a good thing if you burn them out and overheat sitting in traffic on a hot summer day.

I can confirm EviLBoX's advice,

My EGR has been screwy for a while, dealer was jerking around about replacing it under warranty and since I simply don't care about the EGR, resetting the trouble codes anytime "P0400" pops up has been easier...

Every 1200 miles or so it pops on to remind me about it;

<Click> "hmm, P0400... interesting" <Click> "Gone..."

btw - I've since gotten the car inspected (NJ) and the techs were impressed; something about "farting sunshine...". Nope, I'm in no hurry to change out that useless part.

EDIT - I haven't seen any fan activity when the EGR acts up, must be from the AIR pump...

Good Luck!

So thats the ses code for EGR. . . kewl i've only put on between 2&3 hundred miles since the EGR delete.

I dont have to worry about emissions where i live at. I removed mine for 2 reasons. .

1. I dont need em
2. I have hooker LT's waiting to go in, just need a y pipe

Just to clear up a few things, your fans won't turn on as the car doesn't go into "limp home mode" from egr codes.

For the folks whom do have the MIL lamp iluminating, you could remove the one lamp feed wire from your computer which would shut off the MIL lamp on your dash. THis would eliminate the need for reprograming the car for the EGR.
