Egr and air delete

im buying the block off plates for my 93z will it throw codes for a OBD-1 car.

Also is it safe to remove the air pump as well, i have no cats.

Not 100% sure on a 93 but on my 95 LT1 engine it threw codes but it still ran.

mine threw codes but a tune can have them removed

It will not throw a code unless you remove the egr solenoid located on the driver's side of the intake manifold. You can eaither A. leave the solenoid plugged in as it hurts nothing to do so as long as vaccum lines are capped at the manifold B. Measure the resistance of the solenoid and splice in a resistor of similar value you can buy them at your local radioshack. This will get rid of the ses light good luck.
