how can the egr be gotten to, what is the best way to tackle getting to it , to get the blockoff plate there

 

the egr valve is on the back of the engine. their is two bolts that hold it on. their is also one vacuum line connected to it. i reached back there and put a light back there so i could see. then i got on the side of the car and stretched and i took the bolts off. its not all that hard to do. you can do a search for shoebox because he has a picture showing the egr valve on his site. i am not sure what all consists of the block off so i can't help you there.
