Edelbrock Double Roller

Anybody got any thoughts on the edelbrock double roller timing set? I bought one yesterday and was wondering what the general up's and downs were?

Re: Edelbrock Double Roller

Chances are better than good that it is just a reboxed Cloyes or something like that. For most products these days especially automotive parts there are just a couple manufacturers and potentially hundreds of "brands". You probably just paid an extra middleman meaning Edelbrock, and got the same quality part you could have gotten elsewhere.

I'm curious, did the double-roller just bolt up? No clearance issues? I was told that double rollers require an aftermarket timing cover.

I'm looking into another build.

Thanks.

How much was the edelbrock timing set? I see that you have a 94, Does this mean that you still have the unvented opti?
Thanks,
Kory

Wow...digging up old posts. Yes I have a 94 but I went to the 95 opti setup. I have a double roller, 95 timing cover, electric waterpump and the 95 vented opti. I didn't have any modifications to do on the timing cover and yes it just bolted right up. It still works like a charm. Better and cheaper than a LT4 heavy duty timing kit.
