Re: Easy q for you lt1 men

idk about all that....93-95 engines were a 'version 1' oif the LT1, the 96 & 97 engines are 'version 2'. They're commonly identified by a vented (96 & 97) or a non-vented (93-95) optispark. I have no idea if that has annnnnything to do with the wiring system on the cars, but maybe it could help.

95 optis are vented, not that this has anything to do with the dudes questions. And it's not going to help much if you post unrelated information that happens also to be wrong.

>I believe but could be wrong... 1995 had two parts of that year with the Optispark non-vented then vented.

But theMAF should be the same

Just to clear this up, we're all right on the 95 opti issue...earlier 95's were non vented, and the laters were ran vented...so its a 50/50 shot to what you run (stock) on a 1995. Non the less, i specifically mentioned i didnt know if this had anything to do with the MAF or not, i just threw the information out there hoping if there WERE any differences, that they may show up and i could save someone his time. At least read it and asses it before you try to correct it.

OK, my mistake then. I have a 95 that I bought in Jan of that year with a vented opti, so maybe there were some 95's built in late 94 with the old setup. Doubt it's 50/50, though.

>remember the cars usually go on sale around fall time so that means they were in production early summer or late spring.

I guess it only matters for the poor SOBs who bought a 95 and got the previous year's even worse technology...

Where did you get this information? It's the first I've heard of it.
