? dyno's & tuning

-Looking to get on the dyno what type of air/fuel meter is good to tune with. (tuner cat)

-what would be the target air/fuel ratio on the dyno.

-i know the air/fuel go's up on the street.

thx

You need a "wide-band" AF meter for tuning. Any decent dyno shop will have one. You need to consider the test conditions when setting a target AF ratio. The ideal to aim for with an NA LT1 is in the low 13's. But if you tune on a day with "good" air (cool, low humidity, high barometric pressure) it can be considerably richer on a day with "bad" air. And the reverse, which is even worse. The MAF will compensate to an extent, but my point is to avoid running it on the lean side on the dyno if the test conditions are poor. It will make more hp, but you risk engine damage if you run it hard under better conditions.

Keep in mind that a little on the rich side costs a few hp but is safer.
