Dyno's from JET HOT's LT anyone

I am just curious if anyone has any dyno runs with the NEW JEt hot LT headers, hookers LT headers take off about 2.5-3 tenths and about an extra 3MPH I have heard, the these are suppose to be even better. When I do mine I plan on having a Y-pipe installed with offroad pipes in th place of the cats. Does Jet Hot sell Y-pipes for there headers. Also My mechanic was looking at my car and said he might be able to do the install at my house, anyone who has these headers did you need to jack the motor up any or did you just kind of slide them in, how hard is it to put these things on, any install pages would be great thanks.

You can do a search on Long tube header install. But I can tell you from experience you WILL need to get the car VERY HIGH in the air. A lift is prefferable. You have to tilt the headers straight up to get them in. If you do not have access to a lift be VERY CAREFUL how you get the car up in the air.

On the headers, is JET HOT making headers now? I thought they were just coating the Hooker Long-Tubes.

There is a great page about the header install but I forget the link. I am sure someone will be along to post it in a bit.

Good luck.

Not to be a ****, but I don't know the shipping schedule.

Gives me a good reason not to do any business with you!

I highly doubt there is going to be much if any gain in HP with these over the Hooker LT's.

Also, the myth you have to have the car insanely high to install LT's is just that, a myth. Did mine in a freaking driveway sitting on 4 2-ton jack stands. Honestly, they were not THAT bad; hardest part was just getting all the old stuff off (including the AIR crap), and dealing with that POS Mufflex Y-pipe.

TA, what does your car run? I am curious because I am about to have the same things done, and wanted a roundabout e.t. and mph. How much did your car weigh when you ran it? Thanks!

I ran the times in sig hitting the rev limiter in 1st. I eased it off the line then stomped it. Didnt mean to break them loose. Yea i dont think Jet-Hots Longtubes will be any better but probably will be cheaper priced. They might get a few more horses out by cleaning up some of the welds and stuff though so you never know.

Nice traps Illusional

Then you have been luckier than most. From the things I read before I did mine and haven seen 3 installs including my own, the car had to get up at least the length of the headers.

You have to admit a lift makes it alot easier.

Yea the main reason for being jacked up so high is so you can have some room to work. I would hate getting allllllmost there and the ground be in the way lol. I had mine high enough to where i could sit flat on the ground and my face would be right in fron of the bottom of the optispark. I had to jack up the engine for the passenger side anyway.

i had mine up fairly high.. enough to stand the header up under there at least.. A lift would most definetly be better to put headers in.. And thanks Robbie.. you ain't doing so bad yourself..
