Question Dynomax: Bullets vs. Ultra Flo

Hey guys im about to do my true dual set up and im having a hard time deciding wich mufflers to get. Im trying to decide between Dynomax Bullets, or Dynomax Ultra Flow (round version). I know the Bullets are gonna be pretty loud, and im not even sure if my muffler shop will install them, since they are race mufflers. Ive never heard the Ultra Flow but i think it is suppose to be pretty nice, and it is an actual muffler so i know the shop will install it. I will be getting the round version of the Ultra Flo if i pick it. Thx guys any comments are greatly appreciated. Tyler

Here's a vote for Bullets..remember you can always get the longer version and that might help a little with the noise. They are just the $*IT IMO

If loudness is an issue, do not even think about the bullets. Try some flo-pros, or even some Borla XSs as someone recommended me. Good luck.

The ultraflow will be much quieter than the bullets. I just
put on an ultraflow and it's super quiet. I was just on the
freeway for the first time since switching the muffler and
I can't even hear the engine when cruising at 70-80.

Well it looks like im gonna go with the bullets, that is if my muffler shop will install them, are there any regulations on putting bullets on a street car? Im pretty sure he will do it, since he is already dumping them before the rear end wich is illegal anyways.

truedualws6: do you have a sound clip of your car with the ultra flows, maybe with a few revs? thx guys, Tyler

Edit: oops i just looked at your sig and you dont have headers, the headers would make the ultra flo's quite a bit louder dont you think?

"Our products are only sold through the professional
muffler installer. They will help you find the best
performance, sound and fit for your vehicle."

Got that straight from their website..

The shop that is doing your exhaust should be able to call them up and order some. Now honestly, I have never heard a car with Flo-pro mufflers, but I have heard that they are a lot quieter than the bullets. The bullets will give you headaches, they are that loud, especially without cats. Actually, you can go the JEGS website, they have quite a selection on there with descriptions. Good luck.

As for the Bullets...yes, you can get a headache. I can drive for about 30-45 minutes and be fine, but if I drive straight for about an hour, the sound does get to you. It's actually getting out of the car that is killer. Going from that sound to silence can do a number on your head. But to me, it's worth it. They sound amazing. With the turndowns, they are just great. You are sure to be heard...if that's what you want.
