dyno tuning
dyno tuning
well, my car's running...i have it tuned by bryan...i figure that's the base setting...i'm pretty sure that the hp can go about 20 hp higher if it's dyno tuned...
so, how much does dyno tuning cost?

It seems to vary pretty wildly from one place to another. I've seen people mention $600, others $75. You should track down some shops in your area or ask someone in the regional forum for your area and see what you can turn up..

Typically the dyno operator near you is not going to be the one with the skills to tune your PCM, so this is two different folks.

thanks for the info, dave.
so, where do i find the two together?
I'd ask in some regional boards. With all those fast cars in TX, someone must be able to tune them. We had Bryan fly out here to CA once, met about 20 of us at a dyno, and did it that way, but that's because we have no tuners out here. I'd think you'd have a better possibility in your area. But find the tuner first, dynos are easy.

LPEdave, while $75 is a price more commonly associated with a regular dyno pull (2 or 3) session, it was a price a local buddy of mine mentioned he got for a tune, I actually didn't confuse the two.
Probably a hook-up or a special, something along those lines, but I just used it as an example (along with the $600 I saw on this board) of how much the price seems to vary from one place to another.

I know if you have a variable fuel regulator SLP does a krazy tune for 825$ something like up to 4 hours tuning they say. They tune over a wide range of rpms and everything. But if you dont have the regulator I think it was 125$ if I remember correctly. But thats out in NJ :/
