Dyno Tune After Trifecta Tune

Got my car dyno tuned today at IPS Motorsports in Columbus OH.
The car previously had a tune from Trifecta on it.

The first pull the car produced about 307whp.
The tuner said the car was running lean and getting some knocking in the upper rpm's. One of my o2's is reading on the lean side at idle, and im getting low voltage to my pcm. About 11.5 volts he said. Maybe a bad ground i'll have to look at it. He said the car was pulling a bunch of timing up top.

Anyway, he did his thing and i ended up with 335whp and 340wtq.
Can't wait to get it back to the track!

I got a pic of the graph and a cell phone vid for you guys.

The motor is a 355 LT1 with the hot cam, ported heads and supporting mods.

If one has easy access to a GOOD tuner with a dyno. Then mailorder tunes, regardless of whose, just plain suck.

Yeah it's worth the bones to get it done IMO. My car feels like it runs better even if it's just in my head.

www.ipsmotorsports.net I believe is the site. They are really cool guys with tons of sweet cars there. Like a 1100 whp z06 and I got to watch them dyno a cobra super snake which layed down 656whp stock.

wow. that's just plain awesome. how hard was it doing the LT1 conversion? I'm considering doing the same thing with my IROC-Z

The swap was pretty easy really as long as you have basic mechanical know how and arent afraid to get really good at reading wiring diagrams!

I documented the swap here: http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/lt...p-project.html

I definently need a dyno tune instead of a mailorder. 30+ extra HP, what was the original TQ number. I live about an hour and half away from them.

I appreciate the link. I'm a member on there too so i guess i should have looked there too. same s/n as here minus the period on the end. But yeah I've done plenty of mechanical work before and as far as the wiring goes it's just an opportunity for me to learn more. the SGT that was my first line supervisor when i started off in the army always told me "learn something new everyday" so I've taken that to heart. still on the fence as far as keeping it stock (and in traditional IROC mode) or going for the power.

no problem. Yeah the tune was money well spent, also to get piece of mind that the car was running well. Now I've developed what I'm almost positive is an exhaust leak.

That iroc would love to get rid of that tpi, trust me.
