dyno results 224/230

339 RWHP
352 RWTQ

A/F was on the rich side of around low 12's to upper 11's, but uniformily straight across.

I'm wondering where the hidden horespower is on this car. These numbers doesn't sound all that great after reading some dyno results on the search on this website.

I'm seeing stock head cars make this power. Mine are ported and polished?

If I can get my dynosheets scanned, I will.

Thanks

D Moss

dyno results

ok. I have it scanned, but I can't figure out how to post it on here. All I have is a file, and I didn't see where I can attach it to post it on here.

If anyone can help, let me know. I'll e-mail it to you.

Thanks

You pretty much have to have a website to post it on. BTW, have you gotten a tune for that cam, it doesn't look like you have. I bet that will help alot.

Getting the car up to around 13 a/f ratio will help a lot.

Someone should be able to host the picture for you, so we can all help you figure out how to get the extra HP.

As soon as I get somewhere to post the dyno pic, I'll post it.

Thanks

Yea those numbers definitly look very low. You should make that with unported heads if not more hp. I definitly think you have a lot of hidden hp in your car, you just need to find out the problem. Good luck

I'm thinking if the XE 224/230 isn't going to please me, then the 230/236 isn't going to be a big enough difference to please me either.

I'd have to jump on up to the 236/242. It will not hurt my feelings if I have to swap cams, as long as the end result =satisfaction. I was hoping to get closer to 400rwhp, but it doesn't look that way now.

Being realistic, I do have 224/230 cam, mac mid length headers, y-pipe to single exhaust, none of this helps.

But there is lost power somewhere....I'm going to study the tunercat files.

Thanks

I think maybe 1 3/4 primary headers would help a little with all that gas trying to flow out...other than that I couldnt tell you...Fastbird93 has 375hp with AS&M's and a 224/230.

I just noticed something. You only spun it up to 5700 RPM.

Your HP was still climbing. There was a hickup at 5500 rpm. Don't know what that's about. Maybe false knock, but that should not be there. It should be smooth all the way up to 6200-6500 rpm. You do have 1.6 rr's, springs, and all the valvetrain goodies right?

You should have at least revved up to 6200 rpm. Your HP number should look better then, considering that HP = TQ*rpm/5250

Yeah,

I saw that hick-up also, and the guy running the dyno stopped when he saw the hick-up. I'm going to do some searching in the timming tables, and my next run I will by logging with datamaster to watch my sensors.

I do have 1.6 rr and springs, with 3 angle valve job.

I'm also going to figure out the best way to pull the exhaust gas ratio up. Prob MAF high rpm tables with tunercat.

The search is on....

Definitely need to spin to 6k, check the tuning, and talk to your head porter. Who did your heads?
