dyno numbers.. sound right?

1995 Pontiac Trans Am Automatic
1.6 SA Roller Rockers with supporting LT4 Springs etc.
K&N Cold Air Intake
Air Foil
Hooker Long Tubes
Catted Y-Pipe
Hooker Exhaust
Electric Cutout (ill find out if it makes any difference open or closed)
Transgo Shift Kit
2500 Stall
B&M Transmission Cooler
3.73 Gears
MSD Coil
Throttle Body Bypass
ICM cooling mod (mad horsepowers yooo!)
160* Thermostat
Two Point Subframe Connectors
Lower Control Arms
Relocation Brackets (will set to bottom hole at track)
ES Torque Arm Bushing
Adjustable Panhard Rod
275/40/17 Fuzion ZRi
Tuned by Madz28

Ill post a picture of the dyno when i get to a scanner but for now...

266 hp and 275 tq with the cutout closed
267 hp and 279 tq cutout open

SAE corrected .97%

that may be right for what I have but Im kinda dissapointed.. he also didnt do the thing where you bring it up to 50 and then stomp on it so it doesnt downshift (I heard thats what you do on autos). He said he was rolling on it so it wouldnt downshift

i have not dynoed my car yet but i am pretty sure that is less than you shoudl be. if i'm not mistaken lt1's are 275 stock....not sure if that is rwhp or crank though. i am pretty much at the same set-up as you though and i hope to see better #'s. maybe i am wrong though. someone correct me if i am. what kind of dyno was this on

Granted the LT1 motors are rated at 275hp, that is flywheel horsepower which doesn't take into account any drivetrain loss. On the dyno, the rear wheel horsepower is measured, which does take into account drivetrain loss. Hope that made sense. To the OP, seeing that you have a full bolt-on car, your numbers do look a little low.

Not sure about the torque, but the hp looks good for an auto car. If I remember correctly most stock auto LT1's dyno about 240rwhp?
Take it to the track!

I have a 95 firehawk m6, and just had it dyno today. the mods that i have is K&N filter, air foil and grantelli mass air flow. it pulled 275 hp and 317 tq. if i remember correctly, reading one of these sites the stall could be making your hp look lower or robbing some of your hp on the dyno but not on the track.

sounds low to me aswell, the tq should atleast be over the 300 mark

See what she runs at the track, see if the dyno #'s go hand and hand for the most part

what was the A/f across the board?

thats what someone else said to me. But he was telling me he was rolling onto it to make sure it wouldnt shift down. I heard however your supposed to stomp on it from 50mph. Im trying to scan the graph now to post it up. This car ran a 13.29 before the suspension stuff and the rockers and torque converter too.

and bow there is no AF because there was nothing to hook it up to I think he was saying

THe torque is definately lower than average. I dynoed mine with simular mods through a moser 9" and it put down 260rwhp/315rwtq last spring. Even with those low numbers I manged to pull off a 13.12@107 with my M6 formula. I just had my LE2 combo dyno tuned this week and it put down 407rwhp/371rwtq.

Maybe the way he got into it, there isnt a TQ spike initially, dunno. But running a 13.29 is respectable, so I would venture to say the car is running up to par.
If possible take it to a different dyno, that will give you a better idea.

My car with just a CAI and a 2800 stall converter (slipping by 32%) dynoed 264/292 with a stock tune.

agreed, I don't do automatics but the stall you have doesn't sound right for your setup. You have a decent mod list going there and I'd think you'd be closer to 305ish, could be wrong but my old setup with longtubes, stock cam & heads w/Borla & a Moroso CAI put down 307 rwhp 4-1/2 years ago. You got more in that lil beast dude!
