Cool Dyno numbers for my bolt-on 97 Z28

My camaro club had their annual dyno day today so I decided to see what my car would put down. Here were the results:

Dyno Run #1-- 294.2 RWHP 332.6 RWTQ
Dyno Run #2-- 296.8 RWHP 333.6 RWTQ
Dyno Run #3-- 294.3 RWHP 331.6 RWTQ

Max of 296.8 RWHP and 333.6 RWTQ , more than I expected. Needless to say I was very pleased with the results. My mods are in my sig, full exhuast (no cats), CAI, MAF, plugs/wires. Just goes to show 300 RWHP is possible with just exhaust and CAI on our LT1s.

CAI
TB Bypass
T Stat
1.6 RR
Mac Headers
ORY
Borla Cat back (no plate)
Here is my Dyno
I think 96-97 are strong motors
My numbers are 320 RWHP and 340RWTQ

Those are nice numbers! I have a buddy with a 94 z28 that put down 310rwhp 340rwtq with only LT's and cai. Would have been much better with some 1.6 rr's. So 300rwhp is definately doable with boltons.

how many miles on the clock?

id be happy to get those numbers even with my new valvesprings and 1.6 RRs. though i have shorty headers so that might rob a little power.

I'm putting the following parts on my 97 M6 Trans am,
94-95 style Mac headers
Offroad pipe
Borla Cat-back (94-95 style)
02 sims
OVC Taylor wires
NGK TR55's
TB Bypass

I already have factory ram-air and a k&N filter. With approx 40,000 miles on the clock, what numbers do you think I'd pull?

Get an actual CAI and i'll bet you'll put down 290rwhp and 320rwtq. Then get some 1.6 rr's and you should be just over 300rwhp. After seeing what my buddies car did with only LT's and cai, i regret getting my macs! LOL

True your car is a slug, but why are you broadcasting your numbers in his post when your car(cam and rr's) is not comparible to his in mods?

Nice numbers! I'm doing long tubes and a new catback over the summer. After that I'm going to dyno. I'd be thrilled to come close to 300 rwhp.

hmm....does everyone with 97's have who have full exhaust dynos drive M6's?! i'm wondering what kinda numbers my A4 would put down. i know these 96-97 LT1's are putting down more power than the older ones. comparing to my stock 94 Z28 with M6: even with 2.73 gears, this stock 97 feels more powerful.

Thanks guys. I am definitely happy with my numbers. I would of taken 280 RWHP and not thought anything about it. When I looked at the screen after the first pull and saw 294 I almost needed a new pair of undies . I just turned over 75,000 miles on the way home from the dyno. Now its time to throw a cam and some RRs in her and see what she can do!

Bryan

Edit: Sorry no times yet. I will hopefully make it to the track sometime soon. I'll be sure to post when I do
