Dyno numbers for Bauer 383

My appointment finally came up for the dyno and......my 383 pulled 433 rwhp and 420 rwtq. The HP peaked at 6000 and the torque curve is basically a straight line from 2700-5500. The A/F ended up at 13.5 but the timing was not touched from what I had. I have no knock retard but still not sure if Im running too little or too much timing. I may not be able to get back to do some timing tweaking but I dont think 440/430+ would be out of the question if some time was spent sorting things out. The place I had it done said there may be MAF problem also so that will need to be looked at also.

Not bad for a Budget hydraulic roller build up at all. In the end the build of was a fraction of what I originally thought it would be.

Email Bret at bret@bauer-racing.com if you have any questions

Nice numbers

Are you running the stock MAF with the screen or aftermarket MAF?

great numbers...........instead of all of us bothering the bauer guys for specs/prices..........why dont you lay out what your setup consists of, and what you put down for it.

did you get just the shortblock, or the whole engine?

Stock MAF with screen still in place. Ive strayed away from messing with it b/c of all the problems people have been having. Not sure if its a restrction yet but the power didnt change at all when the MAF tables were changed on the dyno..

Jason, thanks man.

Everyone else thanks here's a little rundown.

Scat crank, scat rods, KB pistons...
TEA LT4 heads with stock valves flowed 288 on their bench 298 on Bret's.(My old GTP stage II's flowed ~257 on Bret's bench)
Comp Cam custom grind. I know nothing other than its on a 110 with high lift and some really agressive lobes, email Bret for more info on that.
The intake was worked over by Bret himself.
Hooker LT's, 58mm TB, duals with x pipe, CSI WP, CAI, 36lb SVO's, double roller timing chain, and a bunch of little oil control stuff.

Its a 10 bolt rear with 3.42's.

I had an excel spreadsheet worked out with the prices including shipping but I cant find it at this second. I know Bret has it handy though. It was no more than 4000.00 for the longblock. I helped bret with the assembly and alot of little stuff for that price. I also had misc stuff already from early setups like rocker arms, lifters, and head bolts.

I know he was thinking about possibly setting up a GP in the future.
