I have a problem with my dummy lights. WHile I was driving home today four of them came on for no apparent reason. It was the INOP ABS, Brake, Low Traction, and the ASR Off. The brake and the low traction one would flicker on and off. But the other two just stayed on. The car runs the same as before. Any of you guys have an idea. I thought about pulling the battery for a moment and see if that helps. But after that I don't know what to do. Any advice would be good. Thanks.

 

Most of the time that is caused by low voltage. Did you happen to notice the volt gauge? Make sure your alt is charging and you have no loose battery connections.

 

Well, I did just take the car out of storage yesterday. But I did charge the battery before I installed it. I noticed the Voltage gauge bounce up and down, but that was during the flashing of the E-Brake light and low traction lights. I did move just a little bit. Just a couple of mm in both direction.

 

Could it be a speed sensor??

Still sounds like a voltage issue. Make sure all the wires from battery are secure, and wiring to alternator is secure as well. Take a voltmeter and read the power you are getting off of the battery and alt. when the car is on/off Just to see.

 

My friend has a scanner, so I'm going to try that this weekend. I hope it tells me what's wrong. Stupid lights annoy me.
