I'm lookin to get long tubes soon, and plan on having true duals put on. Dynomax bullets are too loud; are there any other straight-through mufflers that are quieter? how about a moroso spiral flow? let's hear some opinions.

lol, isn't anyone running anything other than bullets?
would 2 bullets on the same pipe interrupt exhaust flow too much?

You really don,t expect 10 people to jump on here at 2 am on a tuesday morning do you?
I am running purple hornies right now but I have a pair of Lowbaks which are like spirals I guess, the late model guys run them at the circle tracks to help keep the noise down.
I don,t know how they are gonna sound on my LT1 but you might look into em and see whats up.

What about edelbrocks they sound pretty good and are almost straight through. They go from one path into two then back into one , very UN-restrictive. And are available in many diferent sizes and lengths.

do you mean a chambered muffler? i've thought about that.....maybe hooker aerochambers....i don't know if a chambered muffler would be too restrictive though. ill check it out thanks

I really like my Aero Chambers turned down at the axle. The bullets were too loud for me and the local law enforcement.

My Flowmaster 1 chambers sound big and beefy. Sounds like racecar.

I just read a post that trua duals are all turned down prior the axle. It's not legal in Texas although I'm sure ppl do it, I don't care but I do want to pass inspection and I prefer the duals sticking out the back, would love true duals that would do just that. If your running true duals are they just hanging low on the driver side rather than tuck by the driveshaft valley on the passenger side and does anyone have any pics of their setups.

thanks.

I personally would give the Spintech mufflers a shot if you're gonna get a full size muffler. They perform excellently (at least in my experience) and they don't have the resonance like the Flowmasters. Very few people have them and they sound very mean. Very unique sound. I will however recommend that you don't use a fullsized muffler for true duals because it will look like ****. It will hang very low, and it looks pretty out of place. One idea that I was considering if you have no intentions of using the back seat is to have the rear footwells removed and have a flat piece of metal welded in to allow for the mufflers to tuck up. That would be the ideal solution in my eyes, but it is too drastic for most people. Just my $0.02
