If you're talking about putting them in the y-pipe, I'd advise against it. I wouldn't risk burning exhaust valves.

I know FLP sells dual cutouts to replace the offroad pipes in there Y-pipes... Might as well run open headers Eddie!

This would be strictly track and dyno purposes only... I don't care for how cut-out sounds.. not refined... I like corsa ang gmmg for sound reasons.. but too expensive... Dual cutouts though... 2 2.5 cutouts...

i thought you had a stock y-pipe or shorty headers. i guess you have some kind of a custom y-pipe that is really restrictive?

People do it all the time, why not

Cheap and convenient "open LTs."

People do it all the time. In fact, my Y-pipe is getting one on each side this winter. Basically it is like running open headers and if you have ever been to the track you know how common that is.

BTW - you will not burn your exhaust valves. That is an old wives tale. If you are burning exhaust valves you have other issues. It is not your exhaust system.

dual cutuots=:D

I have dual 3 inch cutouts right after the flanges on Hooker long tubes, had to make a heat shield for the fuel and brake lines. I am sure someoen will come on and say that "you must be losing a lot of low end torque" or "your knock sensor is going crazy" But the topend is so awesome along with the sound of open headers is just to cool. It massages your back when your idleing and is just insane when you start getting on it.

I'm running dual 3" cutouts as well.

1 behind each of the highflow cats.

Way to loud for the street. But they were good for 2 tenths and 2 mph last time I was at the track.

Here's a pic, mostly showing the pass side.

Cats are for pansies i run mine open on the street without cats, but I'll admit for most people, and the po po, it probably is way to loud.

I haven't made it to the track yet, but with this weather and the cutouts I wonder....

I am grabbing a pair of Flo tech cutouts and going to weld them into my FLP OR pipes. No sense in buying the FLP ones that cost $200 for the pair. Those are some very expesive cutouts. I will post pics when I am done. I like $70 a lot better.
