Dual cat SLP headers vs single cat SLP headers?

Would it be worth it to swap from the dual cat setup to the single cat setup if you already have the dual cat setup? What about the AS&M headers?

Thanks
Jeremy

I don't think it would be any better to switch. From what I gather, the 93-95 F-bodies, with the LT-1's had 275 HP. When they went to dual cats in 96 & 97, the stock horsepower went up 10, to 285. Not sure about the AS&M headers, never had em and don't know anyone with em. Hope that answers your ?

if your going to switch to anything I would make it longtubes...otherwise I probably wouldn't bother, its not worth the expense.

BTW What is a "DRM top end package" ?

i switched from dual cats to the 94-95 single cat slp headers. i love them. the dual cats weight too much and are really restrictive once you pull them off and look at them. IMOI the dual cat headers suck, there are way too many welds on them for me to feel comfortable about them. i would think they would leak big time and they dont seem better than the manifolds since they attach at the same area. i have since ditched my cat and went true duals.

I had the SLP dual cat on my WS6. They were worth .3 sec and 2 mph over the manifolds. They flow good enough. Would have been better if the cats weren't still there.

Like said above, get longtubes if you are going to change.
