DTC 83 TCC PWM Solenoid Circuit Fault

After I loaded my new PCMforLess tune my car threw this code.

"DTC 83"

Datamasters description is: "TCC Control Feedback Fault"

Shoebox website says "TCC PWM Solenoid Circuit Fault (automatic transmission)"

Anyone know what would cause this code on a 94Z28 ?

From what I have read I figured this would be a 95 and up code...

Is your torque converter clutch locking and unlocking properly? TCC = torque converter clutch

I haven't really had the car long or done much driving with it, but I did notice at highway speeds my rpms where higher than they should be.
I used the mph/rpm chart and my rpms look like I have 3.73 but I know I have 3.23 in the car.

So I was thinking it might be a problem with overdrive.

Could that be a converter problem?

Funny thing is I never saw this code until I loaded a new tune. Then as soon as I hooked up my datamaster it threw the code sitting in park...

Make sure the torque converter is locking up. After the car is on overdrive at part/cruising throttle, it should lock up at ~45mph. After you hear it lock up (it will feel like going into overdrive again, RPMs will drop), tap the brake just enough to light up the brake lights, and you'll feel it unlock and the RPMs will rise.

Sounds like he gave you a 95 tune for a 94 tranny? The 94 4L60E doesn't have PWM so when the PCM is looking for that solenoid in the tranny and can't find it, it's giving you the code saying there is a fault

Email PCMForless and make sure he started with the correct file (94 vs 95) for your tune

If this is in fact the problem, the fix is extremely easy for him!

Thanks... That's what I was hoping.
I emailed him Friday just haven't heard back yet.
I was thinking it sounded like a tune issue.
Everything I read about the error pointed to 95 and up cars.
