Driveshaft and Rearend ???'s
Hey all. I recently had a gear swap done on the 93 and was told that the axle bearings need to be replaced sometime in the future. Is this as simple as pulling the cover, dropping the c-clips, slipping out the axles, prying out the old bearings, and slipping in new ones? I guess the questions is how difficult is this for the average joe?
My Driveshaft question is that I have a vibration between 70-80mph that I had prior to the gear swap. Instead of getting the shaft rebalanced I would like to upgrade to an aluminum one. Anyone have one for sale or know where I could find one fairly cheap? Thanks

I don't know about the wheel bearings, but I do have something a couple of cents to throw in on the DS..
An aluminum one isn't really much of an 'upgrade' from a stronger steel one. Your vibe may disappear, but then you're stuck with a weaker piece. Just trading one problem for another.
SLP has an HD steel one for around $250, so does Denny's. Denny's also offers a 'nitrous ready' one for less than $340 if you plan on some serious mods.
An aluminum 1le or ls1 can be had for cheaper ($120 or so?), but you get what you pay for.
