just picked up a 160* stat
should I drain any of the coolant before installing it?

i'm scared it'll drip on the opti

 

put a rag around the paremeter of the housing and on top of the opti. What I did was open my cap - squeezed the tube to drain a little with no problem. Make sure you clean the contact surface to ensure a good seal.
