I've used BFG Drag Radials for a while...Their tread life depends on your driving...I typically get 4000-5000 miles out of them and replace them every Spring...This includes the occasional drive to work and some drag racing...They are not good in rain, and once they get to the tread wear warnings don't drive em on the street...Got caught in rain when they were new and it wasn't too bad...Got caught when tread was low, and holy crap...couldn't go over 25mph...They hook good on the track (not like ET Streets, but good. They hook real good when they are almost bald) and they handle well, however, these are not daily driver tires...Hope this helps....Can't speak for Nittos...never used them...

bfg's wear a lot more than the nitto's. bfg grip better tho, but nittos are awesome as well when they are warm/hot. And they are great in the rain, even better than my yokohama tires. i almost daily drove my car, and raced on some weekends and the nittos lasted me about a year and a half.

My nittos are great on the street and have held good on wet pavement. Can't say for rain because the car doens't see rain though. Nitto's will supposedly last about 15K miles.

If you really don't do much racing, I'd say stick with a street tire. It'll last longer and you know that it will be ok in the rain.

i use BFG drag radials on the street, but my car never sees rain.
i have read about many ppl doing 360's in the rain at normal driving speeds. but the hook like hell in the dry.
expect to get 5-10k miles on the street, if you take it easy on them.
i have about 2000 miles on mine and they look WORE, and i have never heated them up or been hard on them.

i will use ET streets for the track. i dont wont to melt my street tires.....

If your car is a daily driver, I wouldnt recommend drag radials. They are better on the track, but if you're driving everyday in all weather conditins, buy a tire made for that.

I'm glad this post came up. I've been looking for some tires and no one has any decent 315's in stock. I was looking at the drag radials but I think I'll pass now. Thanks all.

I bought an extra set of wheels just for the DRs. Track use only.
