DPDT switch for fan

I recently installed a manual fan switch. Everything works as advertised, for a few times. I've burned up two switches. Are they just junk switches, or did I miss something. I used shoeboxes schematic.
Its like theres too many amps when they first turn on. Also, the pcm is just supplying the ground for the fans, is that correct?.. Thanks

Re: DPDT switch for fan

If you used my schematic, there should be very little amperage through the switch. Switches should not be burning up. If you are somehow switching the actual fan power (instead of operating the relays), then you might have a problem with overheating a switch. My schematic operates the relays.

Re: DPDT switch for fan

I used shoebox's schematic for it with a DPDT switch and haven't had a problem yet. Although, I only have the highspeed fan hooked up right now. About the PCM supplying the ground??? You have to actually hook it to a ground post. The PCM doesn't really do anything in that schematic, just the relays and wires.
