Donky Dong On Cai?

I have a moroso cia, and i was wondering what that dong looking thing that hangs down in front of the engine is, and if i need it? i a have 93 z28. i know it ius a stupid question, but you got to learn somewhere.

its an air silencer, you dont need it. You can replace your elbow with a 1LE one for 45 or buy a nice plug for 25, or just find something like a shampoo cap and jam it in there and secure it, but there really is no gain except for more noise.

I wanted to replace it, but could not find a plug to fit it,a nd I'm not wasting money to do it.

Maybe I'll jsut get Pert plus as my next shampoo,a nd when it runs out IU'll do it.


BTW, I have heard on here that the silencer workds good fro traping watter if you happen to drive through a big puddle with your CAI.

Dont know how long water would have to cover the filter to go all the way up though.

I knew a guy that used a deoderant cap. I think you'll find those easier to fit than shampoo caps. Me? I ripped mine and got a 1LE.
