My rearview mirror(dome) lights won't shut off.I have to diconnect the battery or it will go dead.The courtesy lights stay on or turn off after 20 seconds like they should,it's depended on luck I guess.

 

This is currently happening with my car now too! It's a 1997 Z28.

I've been looking everywhere to fix it.. I can't tell if it's a sensor in one of the doors or the one in the trunk.

But, the lights seem to turn off after a long time when I park the car and close it up. However, the lights turn on when I use the keyless unlock and they stay on - even while I am driving.

I have since pulled the courtesy fuse.

The fuses in the dash all seem to be installed correctly and none of them are blown.

What else should I look for?
