Does rear end differential cover have gasket underneath?

Does rear end differential cover have gasket underneath?

If so where can i get one? Need to take off differential cover to check out the inside. Also which is the best rear end fluid to use? Thanks in advance.

Yes, a gasket is needed. Available at Car Quest, Victor/Dana part number P27872....at least for a '93 Z28.

Yea there is. Go to pep boys..Its like 3.00 for it i believe. I used Royal purple fluid, but its like 7.50 a bottle and i think u need 2. Kinda expensive. You can use other stuff though

Thanks for the info. Hey can i get that Royal purple synthetic at pep boys? Do you need to replace the Diff. cover with a torque wrench?

I highly doubt it. I could be wrong though.
Have any local speed shops? They'll have it.
