Does the LT4 Knock Module have to be tuned in to function properly?

Does the LT4 Knock Module have to be tuned in to function properly?

Just as it says. When getting a mail order tune, do they program the PCM for the LT4 KM or does it function properly just by installing it?

A special tune is not required for the KM to work properly, its plug and play. The tuner may ask if you have one though.

Your knock sensor is a "microphone" that listens to the sound of your engine looking for signs of knock. The LT4 knock module is a filter to adjust what sounds the PCM will consider as knock. As stated above, the LT4 module is not affected by your tuner's programming.
