This is very rare to get 425 flywheel hp in the lt4 conversion, but supposedly they did one in I beleve super chevy magazine with perfect tuning it is possible. You should expect if you do the LT4 conversion to get 330-340 RW hp.

Alot of people have said that it is not worth the money to do it. I tend to agree with them as well because there are alot of other things you could I think for less money or the same amount of money and get either the same performance gaurentees if not more.... Like instead of a Hot Cam go with something bigger, CC305 or maybe CC306. Just a suggestion.... Although it is pretty good deal for just the LT4 powdered intake for just 250$. Makes every thing look a little better,

Good Luck,

I agree... I personally am a big fan of the CC305 and 306 cams...305 is a great daily driver cam in my opinion.

220/230 duration at .050 .510/.510 with 1.5 rockers .544/.544 with 1.6's . I have this cam and with the 114 lsa it did not have much of a sound to it.

I recall hearing that the test someone mentioned above was done with a lot of dyno tuning, long tube headers, a 52mm throttle body and some other stuff....

Most of what i heard is about 320-330 rwhp. GM does say however, that the 425 is w/ a 52mm tb and some other mods.

Must be talking about me Blake.

The LT4 conversion is not the best bang for the buck product. I did it for different reasons. Power was not my #1 factor when I did the conversion. I'm expecting to dyno around 350-360 rwhp whenever I get around to it....hopefully.

LT4 s were rated at 330 hp. That packge has the hotcam but that will give only aroung 25 hp more so 425 hp is pretty farfetched.

That is not the case. The stock LT4 cam left a TON on the table. The hotcam is worth WAY more than 25 horse over the stock LT4 cam. I've run the simulation on DD2000 several times and it's always worth 70+ fwhp over the stock cam.

I also saw the article in CHP, they got 427 horse out of the LT4 conversion. They also had shorty headers, a 52mm TB, and a great tune. I think it's worth mentioning that probably half the cars on this board leave substantial power on the table due to substandard tuning...
