Limited slip differential is a unit in the rear differential

Its why you you lay 2 sets of rubber down in burn out. wihtout it, you would have "1 wheel drive car." It also "slips" in a limited amound when you go to make turns (or else turns would really suck!

The LT1 is an engine.

Exactly....it's also known as "Posi-Traction". If your question means is it available on LT1 powered cars, then the answer is yes. I believe the RPO code is G80.

its standard actually on all 4th gen V8's

....I ment if LT! cars have slip differential. I just watch Top Gear and they mention that in M5 so I just wonder if my car have it also...

If you are talking about the car in your signature you definitely have a Limited Slip Differential...
If by 'M5' you mean 5 speed manual trans.. no f body cars with LT1 motor came with 5 speeds... [ only the V6 cars had that..]

By M5 I ment BMW M5 but you were close enough ....By the wat "Top Gear" is the best in testing sport cars!!!
