LT1's are only good for low 14's stock typically, 13.6 would be incredible for stock

 

depends on altitude,my 96 ran mid-lo 14s at 2400' then installed headers and cai and ran a 13.99,i have friends in texas that ran 13s stock back then(93-96)so yes it is attainable.

 

also depends somewhat on if you have an automatic or a manual.

 

I'm in TX and my 93 was bone stock and I ran a 13.9@104. I think I'm a decent driver and the conditions were really nice out for racing. I was the 2nd fastest F-bod there next to my best friend Tony Shepherd (fast93z) that was running 11 something that day. The others had light work like edelbrock headers and crap like that and were still in the 14's. So it all goes to show it just takes a driver and conditions.

 

I think hot rod did a test on the 94(i think) camaro, formula, ta. The ta was and auto and ran 13.9, the formula was a m6 and ran 13.7, and the camaro was also an m6 and ran 13.6. I think, dont quote me on these(been awhile since ive read those old hot rods). BTW these were with micky thompson tires and hot rod altitude correts all there times.

 

Heh yea I forgot to mention that I had done an A4 to M6 swap in my car so I was running the auto gears. That's where all the mph comes into play. But I was only running street tires.

 

is stock inclusive of DR's? I can see it being quite possible with a nice launch, good driving, non-street tires, the right altitude and some good track prep.

 

Not to mention it would be a "factory freak". But 13.6 would be something to brag about for sure. Not very likely even with DR's.

13.6 is like average time for an LS1 aint it?

 

Z28 Eug on LS1.com went 13.69@101 bone stock - 93 Z28

 

Big Dave from the same site ran a 13.64@100.1 with a 1.95 60'. His buddy apparently ran a 13.67@102.7 with his '95 M6. Both cars were stock and running on GSC's.
